I Scream !

"I Scream!" 17"x13" Watercolor

I've been on this food kick since we've been watching the Food Network challenges and that inspired me to challenge myself with the past few paintings that had something to do with food or kitchen stuff. Of course I couldn't do the typical fruit in a bowl or ice cream in glassware so I borrowed the kid's finger puppets and voila! It was quirky enough for me!
I was nervous about painting this one with all the reflected light and shiny ceramic cones, but it was refreshing to do something that was new for me. I love the challenges of watercolor (especially when it works out!)

Great job! The juxtaposition of the shiny ceramic with the velvety dolls is nice.

Love it!! The reflections are superb and I'm amazed you do it all without masking.

Thank you Michelle and Chris and Micah! This was a very satisfying one to do and I'm so glad it reads well.

Maskless Crusader huh! LOL! It's true, I don't use masking fluid or white paint. . .but I'm not apposed to it either. . . everyone should work the best way they can and use whatever means they will to get their creativity out.
I've seen wonderful stuff with the maskings and guaches and chinese whites and experimental techniques. I just happen to be one of those old school throwbacks I guess! ha ha ha
Thanks again!
